Access Fund and COVID-19

The impact of the COVID-19 virus, both at-large and to our organization, is an extremely fluid situation. The consistent message we are hearing is that canceling events and self-quarantine are two of the most powerful tools to mitigate the spread of the virus. As a result, Access Fund has decided to take the following actions:

  • All non-essential staff based at our Boulder office will work from home.
  • Our upcoming board of directors meeting will be conducted virtually.
  • All staff are encouraged to limit their exposure as a result of work-related or personal travel.
  • The following events will be postponed.
    • Indian Creek Fireside Chat and Film Night until Fall 2020
    • Inks Ranch Climbing Festival until Fall 2020
    • SW Regional Summit until Spring 2021
    • Access Fund sponsored events with our Conservation Teams

Access Fund will navigate this situation utilizing the best available national and local guidance. We are committed to the health, safety, and well-being of our staff, board, volunteers, and supporters. We encourage our LCO and community partners to operate with similar prudence. Meanwhile, Access Fund will continue to operate at the fullest capacity possible to further our mission to keep climbing areas open and conserve the climbing environment.
