TIME:
8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

MEETING PLACE:
The Bank Campground This is an approximately 1.5-hour drive from Colorado Springs.

From Colorado Springs, take CO 115/Nevada Avenue south towards the town of Penrose. After passing through Penrose, turn right to merge onto US Highway 50 west towards Cañon City. In Cañon City, turn right onto Berry Parkway then immediately left onto Fremont Drive, and then right onto Dozier Ave. Continue on this road to the stop sign on Field Ave and turn right onto Field. Continue on Field for about 2 miles and then bear right onto CO Rd 9/Red Canyon Road. Stay on CO 9 until you reach Garden Park Road and turn left. After about 3 miles on Garden Park Rd, you will pass by the left turnoff to the Sand Gulch Campground and take the very next left turn onto Shelf Road towards the Bank. Here the road will become dirt and steeper but most vehicles should be able to reach the Bank Campground about 1.5 miles up. Cell reception can at times be spotty here. Please arrive on time so we do not miss you.

ACTIVITY:
We will be working to improve access in the Bank and Gym area. This will involve about a 1 mile from the campground and trailhead to reach the worksite. Project tasks include moving rocks, step and wall construction, as well as other needed approach trail maintenance tasks. This will be strenuous and highly-rewarding work!
