Event Description:
Meet the Southeastern Climbers Coalition (SCC) for an Adopt a Crag at Currahee Mountain! Volunteers should meet at the start of Currahee Mountain Road at 9 AM to coordinate driving up to the top of the mountain (as parking at the top is limited).
Volunteers will be primarily using elephant snot paint thinner to remove graffiti at the climbing areas, but we will also be picking up trash, and doing minor trail work.
Volunteers should bring:
Water
Snacks
Lunch (will not be provided this time)
Sunscreen
Close toed shoes
Work gloves (there are some available if needed)
A face mask
SCC will be observing COVID protocols. All volunteers will required to wear a face mask when working within 6 feet of other volunteers. The group will also get split up into pods to further separate groups of people. DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU A FEELING SICK OR OFF, IT IS NOT WORTH IT.
